I think the fun part for the pupils and teachers is ‘making it real’. Getting to meet our animals up close, being able to touch and hold some animals, that maybe they have only ever seen in books or on TV before. Being able to see the weird and wonderful and getting answers to their questions about them. Learning about animals may not sound exciting but animal encounters are exciting!

The fun part about visiting schools with our animals, For Us, is getting to meet so many lovely people and watching their reactions to the animals. The giggles, the look of wonder, amazement, compassion and occasionally a little fear (but fear normally disappears as curiosity takes over and the children end up proud of their achievements). We pride ourselves on the safe, hands-on aspect of our shows and the enthusiasm and excitement we encounter from the kids is brilliant. We also love our animals so being able to spend time with them and share their awesomeness is great. An added bonus of school visits is seeing all the artwork and projects up on the school walls . . . and hopefully being able to inspire more!
